A few of us at SA Baxter are automotive nuts to say the least. Imagine our surprise when we encountered this post over at Core77. The care and hand-crafted effort put forth into each and every Porsche badge is something near and dear to our hearts. We think you’ll find the detail and focus of the craftsmanship to be absolutely fascinating.
We recently had the pleasure of attending Connecticut Cottages & Gardens’ inaugural Designing Greenwich event. The curated group of Exhibitors were top-notch – hand selected by Tony Ingrao, whom we took a couple of moments to chat with. We had the pleasure of meeting Marianne Howatson, the CEO of Cottages & Gardens along with Pamela Eldridge, Publisher of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens.

We very much enjoyed the Presentation from Rosencrans Baldwin, President of Donghia, Inc. Crans is an engaging (and very funny) speaker. His thoughts on the direction of the Design Industry were both humbling, enlightening, and encouraging. We took away a few very interesting insights which will certainly benefit our clients. Thank you Crans. And thank you to the Cottages & Gardens Team!
Crans Baldwin of Donghia provided a very entertaining and enlightening presentation.
Nothing makes a statement like door knobs with a hand-hammered finish. These beauties, Door Knob Style DK-1019, are finished in Antique Nickel.

Metallics are very much in vogue in the fashion world. We are loving the idea of these headphones by Frends.
Frends Gold Headphones
The headphones (Layla) and large headphones (Taylor) really tickle our fancy. The available finishes are gold, rose gold, and silver.

How would these look in Antiqued finishes? Hmmmmm…

This year’s theme was glamorous black and white, paying tribute to Truman Capote’s legendary 1966 ball. And the glam factor was off the charts! Kudos for much in the way of dapper attire and incredibly creative costumes. This outrageous event benefited The Alpha Workshops Studio School, which provides tuition-free classes in decorative arts and painted finishes for those individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
