There is no shortage of Design-related happenings this week in New York. We have ICFF rolling into town this weekend, as well as the many satellite events going on, which are all part of NY Design Week. A little closer to home – the NYDC that is – we have Traditional Home’s Wednesday evening event, and the ongoing Kips Bay Designer Show House. Here are a few links to keep you in the loop for this week’s multitude of gatherings!
As mentioned here, SA Baxter was selected by Garcia / Maldonado, Inc. to be part of their design for the Kips Bay Show House. After a gala opening event this past Monday, the Show House is now open to the public. We’ll show you a bit more next week, including shots of our installed hardware in the luxurious urban lounge.

Date night in the groovy hookup lounge by Louis Jon Garcia-Maldonado, with its sueded leather walls, mirrored bar shelves, gray moire curtains, mammoth daybed and crackling gel fireplace, is threatened by two female archetypes: a flame-haired warrior, a wall-size female nude painted by Eric Pedersen and a kittenish Kate Moss in a Russell Young photograph, clad in black undies and black thigh-high stockings, clutching a teddy bear.”
Just a reminder to stop by to see us tonight during this much anticipated NYDC event, focused on the finest in hospitality design. The SA Baxter New York showroom, Suite 1205, will be open throughout the entire event.
Come to learn about some of the many SA Baxter products which have been specified for acclaimed Luxury hotels around the world, such as the Modern LV-3033 Lever, which was chosen for an incredibly lavish hotel in Hong Kong.
